Looking for a unique Christmas gift that will benefit an important Wallowa County charity? Look no further than True Tails: The Human-Animal Partnerships of Wallowa County Oregon. On December 19, we will host a book signing and “Pawtographing” event from 4 to 6 PM, with refreshments provided by Humane Society volunteers.

The brand-new 144-page, photo-rich book recounts heartwarming stories of animals and their humans in Wallowa County, including a guide-dog who led his blind master on wilderness jaunts, a Yorkie who was lost—and found—in an Alaska snowstorm, a horse who helped restore her owner’s faith in humanity, and many other true short tales.

Written and photographed by Oregon Book Award winning author, Ellen Morris Bishop, the book also includes a listing of where to find animal supplies and services in Wallowa County, dog-training tips, Mary’s favorite animal book picks, and much more. All proceeds from sales of True Tails go to the Wallowa County Humane Society. We hope to see you there!
